Van Lerberghe rijdt Koppenbergcross op vrijgezellendag

Het was een vreemd zicht, Bert Van Lerberghe aan de start van de Koppenbergcross in Oudenaarde. Dat was het orginele cadeau van zijn trainingsmakkers voor zijn ‘vrijgezellendag’.

Het cadeau kwam uit de fantasie van Melkerie-trainingsmakkers, een groep renners met onder meer Yves Lampaert, Tim Declercq en Jens Debusschere. Van Lerberghe dacht dat de uitstap naar Oudenaarde zich zou beperken tot een klassiek rondje drinken maar schrok zich een hoed toen hij een uur voor de start vernam dat hij effectief was ingeschreven voor de wedstrijd. Twee rondjes hield de Cofidis-renner het vol, daarna gaf hij zichtbaar vermoeid de pijp aan Maarten.

Van Lerberghe stapt in april van volgend jaar in het huwelijksbootje met zijn vriendin Sien, zijn vrijgezellendag was er alvast eentje om nooit te vergeten. Het koppel verwacht trouwens in december hun eerste kindje.

Persoonlijk heb ik liever een taart waar een wulpse dame uitspringt, echter bovenstaand is ook om je te bescheuren van de lach.
