Eindelijk, de duiven zijn binnen. Bike Aid is lekker op dreef.

What? Another victory? Yes, Meron Teshome is on fire!

After yesterday's stage win by Nikodemus Holler, it was his teammate Meron Teshome who took the stage win today and let Nikodemus Holler just the 2nd place.

The season could not start in a better way at all. Already the 3rd place in the GC of "La Tropicale Amissa Bongo" (UCI 2.1) was a big deal and then yesterday's win by Niko Holler. But the boys are on fire and Meron Teshome heads to today's victory on stage 3 at Tour du Cameroun.

Juraj Bellan from Slovakian Pro-Team "Dukla Banska Bystrica" finished 3rd behind the two BIKE AID boys.

But the biggest curiosity happened already before the start: the whole convoy had to stop for several hours as one of the transfer busses' engine broke down and nothing went on. The start had to be delayed by couple of hours - but this is also Africa winking smiley

Holler takes the lead in GC of Tour du Cameroun

Nikodemus Holler finished second on today's fourth stage and takes over the yellow yersey of Tour du Cameroun (UCI 2.2).

The fourth stage of Tour du Cameroun was again a tough one, despite it just led over 98 kilometers from Limbé to Kumba and was one of the shortest stages of the Tour. Nevertheless, there was a bunch of hills the riders had to overcome and the heat is doing the rest.

In the middle of the race there was a 5man break-away that was able to put a gap and that went well together. In that break were also two of the BIKE AID riders with Nikodemus Holler and Daniel Bichlmann. In a quite hectic finale, the Morrocan rider Salah Eddine Marouni could take the win in the sprint in front of niko Holler. Daniel Bichlmann finished 5th today.

With his second place, Niko Holler could take the lead in the general classificaion and will start with the yellow jersey tomorrow. Also Suleiman Kangangi could defend his polka-dot jersey for the best climber of the Tour. Only Meron Teshome lost his lead in the "best African rider" classification that is now led by today's winner Marouni from Morocco.

Hattrick - Teshome wins also stage 5,

After the third stage, the Eritrean sprinter Meron Teshome wins also stage number 5 of Tour du Cmaeroun in bunch sprint.

The guys are still on fire and it burns, burns, burns! The main goal for today's stage about 108 flat kilometers around Douala was to defend Niko Holler's leader jersey.

But by doing the one thing good, you will also earn more. So it happened today when the boys controlled the bunch quite smart and prepared a good lead out for Meron Teshome to finish with stage win!

After stage 5 out of 8, the yellow jersey and the polka-dot jersey remains on the shoulders of the boys from BIKE AID (Niko Holler and Suleiman Kangangi), as well as the overall lead in team's classification.

It's done! Holler wins Tour du Cameroun - Kangangi 3rd on final stage!

What a feeling! After 8 days of hard work it's finally done. Suleiman Kangangi fnishes 3rd on final stage and Niko Holler brings the yellow jersey home - what a day!

Eight days of a lot of ups but also days of suffering and fighting are behind the guys from BIKE AID now. And how can it end up better than bringing home the yellow jersey and winning the GC of Tour du Cameroun.

"It has been demanding in so many ways, as after couple of days the heat gets worse and worse and our bodies reacted on that. Yesterday, I felt very tired for the first time and was so happy having my team mates around me to counter all the attacks and keeping me in yellow. Withouth them, I would have lost it yesterday, for sure!" Nikodemus Holler said after the race, tired but the same way happy.

When the bunch entered the capital of Cameroon today and crossed the finish line, the Kenyan rider of the team Suleiman Kangangi secured another place on the podium finishing 3rd. "It was a crazy week. I've been wearing the climbers jersey so long and just lost it yesterday. But well, we are one team and we achieved a lot here, so it's just great", Kangangi said.

In the GC the riders from the German team ranking 1st, 6th and 8th after the finish. Furthermore the guys could win the Team's classification and finish the stages in total with 3 victories, one time 2nd, one time 3rd one time 7th and two times 9th as best stage results. What a week!

We now wish you all a good way back home and see you back in action soon!
